Description:
------------
This is an academic project developed by 5 graduate students at ESIL
School, Information Technology department, Aix-Marseille II University,
France. ( http://www.esil.univ-mrs.fr/extranet/?lang=en )
The goal of this project is to develop an Ada to Mips compiler.
Ada is a structured, statically typed imperative computer programming
language. MIPS is a RISC microprocessor architecture.
It will be developed in ANSI C, compiled using gcc. It will run on any
GNU/Linux operating system.
It will use Flex as the lexical analyzer generator and Bison as a parser
generator to produce the tree form the Ada grammar.
The production of our compiler code will be done by an intermediate program
developed by us. It will receive the result produced by Bison to generate the
C source of our compiler.
Our compiler will then be able to produce MIPS source code form Ada source
code.
The tests of the MIPS code produced by this project will use the MIPS32
simulator SPIM.
The development is not started yet. We don't have any sample code to submit.
Other Software Required:
------------------------
Bison - http://www.gnu.org/software/bison/
Flex - http://www.gnu.org/software/flex/
SPIM - http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~larus/spim.html
