GULUM stand for "Groupe d'Utilisateur Linux de l'Université de Montréal" or
University of Montreal LUG's in english. (www.iro.umontreal.ca/~gulum (french
only)
Our goal is to organize talk about GNU/Linux and InstallFests. We also want
to make GNU/Linux known as much as possible by the university's community. 

We are currently writing an argumentative essay to promote the use of open
format and free softwares in the university. We also plan to include a
section promoting giving back to the free software community.
SVN Latex version of what is written to date can be found at:
https://delusionner.homeip.net/svn/gulum/argumentaire_faecum/ (french only,
sorry). We are planning to release it in a GPL compatible license (maybe
FDL).

The computer science dept. provide us a web hosting, e-mail and mailing-list
services. We are planning of maybe having our own server, but it's long term
wish. But we are missing a viable collaborative development platform. For the
moment, we are using a LUG member's home server. But he will soon finish his
study an we will be forced to change of server. Chance are that if we are
basing our SVN server in another member web server, we will face the same
problem soon.

So we are seeking free collaborative and free software compatible hosting
service for the current project and for other future projects.
