==== Description: ====
linecut has been developed to extract slices of lines from files and print
them to the terminal. The current functionality provided resembles the one of
s(ed), head & tail a bit when those tools get combined via pipes. linecut is
entirely written in C and ships with autotools support. It has borrowed some
minor amount of code from according coreutils utils, because originally
linecut was being subject to inclusion in the coreutils suite, but has been
rejected due to a maintenance overhead that would have been expected.
Documentation is still a bit lacking, but there is a manpage which has been
generated by help2man.

==== Other Software Required: ====
* gnulib
* autotools (autoconf, automake)
