FitGallery is a powerfull and simple gallery engine written in PHP for
showing images and videos on the web with their thumbnails. The thumbnails are
located on the page optimizing space as much as possible (floating desing
instead of fixed tables or columns). The thumbnails are created automatically
and stored for improving performance.

gd image library for PHP, BSD style license, http://www.libgd.org.
ffmpeg for PHP, GPL/LGPL, http://ffmpeg-php.sourceforge.net.
A web server, tested under apache httpd (apache license,
http://httpd.apache.org) and lighttpd (BSD style license, http://lighttpd.org)
both well known as free software.
Runs under free Unix style OS (GNU/Linux or BSD).

This project was started in 2003, now I'm migrating it from sourceforge to
savannah, the sourceforge project page will be kept for historical reasons
pointing to savannah as main project page.
