It seems to me that this is a very common, reasonable and (for these) it
is a much expected option/feature that projects need (done with their
mailing lists, at least).

If this feature is not available in any mailing list system, maybe we
can have the same effect by using a mail alias, which messages will be
redirected to selected and known list of maintainers. For example, the
email address@hidden can be the "mailing list" available to
anyone that wants/needs to report problems, and this address (or list,
as we are calling it) is informed as having messages that will not be
made public, unless necessary. Any person replying to these messages (he
received them for being one selected receiver) MUST reply the message in
a special way with two possible things: use some interface so the send
the reply, so the person's real address is not kept/shown in the list
(and the person who sent it, that must receive all replies, but only the
related to their message); optionally, add a "reply to" mail header, but
this should not be preferred, since this kind of "list" might involve
unpredictable aspects of things, so the more neutral, the better. As I
have said, any person can send messages to this "list", and replies made
to this message might be sent to this person, as need. An option to stop
sending messages to that person must exist, so I imagine that a
"controlled list member" would be harder to make practical then the
simple "add the person's address in the replies while it's needed - not
adding it will mean the person's contribution to the subject is done. A
friendly end with "thank you" or "the issue will be resolved and we will
inform you personally, with a message, when it is solved" is something
nice to have.

What do you all think of asking maintainers of Savannah and/or GNU
services for this? I am newbie around, so, if I had any idea that is
"old", please forgive this detail. But to me it seems a good idea, and
fairly simple to have.

Regards,
