Details:

Running autogen.sh gives the following error.

$ > ./autogen.sh 
configure.in:48: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_USE_SYSTEM_EXTENSIONS
      If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
      See the Autoconf documentation.
autoreconf: /usr/bin/autoconf failed with exit status: 1

This is with commit cbaa666 and:

$ > cat /proc/version 
Linux version 2.6.18-308.20.1.el5 (address@hidden) (gcc version
4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-52)) #1 SMP Tue Nov 13 11:54:02 EST 2012

$ > cat /etc/issue
Scientific Linux release 5.8 (Boron)
Kernel \r on an \m
