We started out with maxwin=10, so that
a) inexperienced users will soon recover from accidently creating
more windows than they intended.
b) multiuser machines do not run out of pty's too fast.
An experenced screen user on his private machine may prefer
maxwin=1000; I don't think there are any ill side effects.
