Agreed. And to the tree presentation: would it not be better to show the newest versions first? In case you have a large tree, the user can focus immediately at the most recent changes.

Next, we can add checkbox for each item in the tree, so that 'compare' or 'merge' operations can be performed. Should we do this in this interface or we provide compare, which takes to the other interface suggested by Niyam.
When in Sofia we discussed that both Niyam's compare changes UI design and the tree view could be combined into one. Federico was making a drawing of that for the team.
