It is on life support I would say. 

John, you have run into problems that are known and my fixes are only
paritally implemented. (2 of my last 3 weeks have been vacation...hence
the silence this weekend)

Eric has asked to join the team. John, if you have ideas on
documentation, that would be a great contribution too of course!

I think the best way to proceed is for me to get my build changes
completed and put into CVS, then make another release for you guys to
submit patches against.
