I tend to agree that you should go with debian 8 if you can.
If you need to stay on debian 7 for some reason, you can get 1.1.5 from
wheezy-backports.
please let us know if you have tried one of these other versions, or if
the ulimit suggested elsewhere in this thread worked for you.
