Subject: | [Stratagus-devel] Stratagus windows compiling help please. |
Date: | Sat, 15 May 2004 13:12:42 +0000 |
Hi There,
I am having a beast of a time getting the Stratagus project to compile.
Environment:
-Windows XP
-gcc as compiler.
I am new to using all of the Linux/Unix Tool chain but I do have lots of experience doing
development on commercial development platforms.
So, first things first. The Install.html page says that step 1 is to run autoconf. Downloaded that from the gnuwin32 site. Not an executable, seems to need a scripting language product called m4, downloaded that.
When I run "m4 autoconf" from a dos shell it's hard to see if anything useful hapenned,
"m4 configure" (the next item listed in the install.html page) gives the following output:
#Don't blindly perform a cd NONE:0: m4: ERROR: EOF in string.
Now, presumably I do not have the tools setup correctly (or am not running them
properly) and such.
Any hints as to where to start in all of this?
Thanks for all and any help.
Troy.
