Same here with Firefox popups. Seems to be a stumpwm bug.

Seconded. This bug popped up recently (I *think* after sabbets started
the adding in of mode-line, but don't hold me to that); can't say I
really mind though, as key events are still passed to it, and the only
stuff FF pops up for me are download dialogues.
