[STUMP] Keyboard mapping problem: Compose+e bound to Down arrow not detected as Down arrow

Hello!

I use a customized keyboard layout in which Compose+e generates Down.
This works as expected in most applications.  However, in stumpwm
menus this is not recognized as Down, but as 'e'.

Is there any way to make this work?  I suppose this is low-level X11 stuff.
