This is as it was when it crashed (again). Actually it left the system a bit messed up, so had to restart X.

To build, I followed the instructions in README.md. It was
straight-forward as far as I remember. I was not able to build with
clisp though.

As I said I think it is quite likely that the nvidia driver is the
culprit.
