Suji, you have to sign up at http://socghop.appspot.com and submit your
proposal to the "gnu" organization.  There are lots of faqs and help
resources on the web site.

    I am prepared to mentor you on this project, however.

Great.  So then you (Sam) also need to sign up at
http://socghop.appspot.com and put in a request to become a mentor with
"gnu".
