small world

Hello there,

I am a new user of swarm and i would like to use it to simulate individuals'
behaviour in organisations. My rationale is to consider an organization as a
collection of communities, especially communities of practice. Hence, first
of all i would like to model the emrgence and/or the behaviour of a
community of agents engaged in the same practice. To do so, i thought of
using a "small world" model. 
Unfortunately, i have no material to begin with. Does anybody knows where i
could find useful material about the small-world pattern?
