Swarm models using GIS data?

Hi there,

I'd like to know if anyone has used GIS data fed into a Swarm-based 
agent model, eg., forest, wheather or fire data (potentially large data 
sets). I have not come across any such combination and am very 
interested to know if anyone has done so. Any pointers will be very much 
appreciated.
