>Northwestern University's Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based
>Modeling (CCL) is pleased to announce a three-day NetLogo workshop
>preceding Agent 2005. NetLogo (http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo) is a
>powerful cross-platform, multi-agent, programmable modeling environment
>that follows the longstanding Logo tradition of "low threshold and high
>ceiling," making it possible to create models of complex phenomena with
>a minimum of code or experience. The hands-on workshop, which will be
>led by members of CCL's NetLogo team, will begin with an introduction to
>NetLogo, quickly moving toward helping participants to write their own
>models. No previous experience with NetLogo or programming is required.
>
>The workshop will start the morning of October 10th and run through
>the early afternoon on October 12th in downtown Chicago and will
>operate in association with the Agent 2005 Conference
>(http://agent2005.anl.gov/). The fee for the workshop will be $150 /
>person. Participants must bring their own computers, though it will be
>possible to request a computer for an additional fee of $150 / person.
>The location for the workshop will be the conference hotel, which is the
>Holiday Inn - Chicago City Centre.
>
>We can accommodate a maximum of 30 participants in this workshop and
>reserve the right to cancel the workshop if there is insufficient
>enrollment. Interested parties should send e-mail (along with name,
>affiliation, contact information, and e-mail address) to
>address@hidden Questions about the workshop may
be sent to the same address.
