Yeah.. acouple of us took a close look at MErcury a while back -- its  
very cool but of course the inevitable performance issues. Anyway, see  
the "top-to-bottom" language issue -- my bias is sitll that meta- 
models are the way to go with this; focussing more on the what than  
the how.
