My umask is 002 .
I wasn't quite complete when I said the file was -r-r-r, as its
really
-r-xr-xr-x 1 rlr car 4925 Jan 17 09:58 m2h
-r-xr-xr-x 1 rlr car 3742 Jan 17 09:58 make-h2x
I don't think that my umask is the problem (but I could be wrong...).
I think the problem is that the file permit is not w,
so that when I do a re-make (eg after a make clean),
I get that warning about no permission for the m2h file.
Recall I got that message for lots of .h files in 1.0.4, but you
sent a patch for the Makefile to fix that.
I think this is one last file that perhaps needs that same
kind of patch (at least if you want to goal of having
a make after a make clean to not give any spurious warnings.)
