Sorry Marcus, hate to point this out, but may I remind you that these
features are not yet documented - or only poorly so (I for one can't make
head or tails of the two paragraph explanations of Canvas etc. in the
docs...)?

Also note that Heatbugs (the eternal demo) version 1.1  with pixmaps is
not compatible with current implementation of pixmaps.

As the flurry of messages today about Raster abilitites shows, adding (and
documenting) visual features such as these has the additional bonus that
they are "gripping" - users will sit up and notice (that's my clumsy way
of saying that there is an incentive there for the programmers).
