Has *anyone* successfully compiled blt8.0-unoff on any linux-like os for Mac PPC? I've tried now to move up to swarm 1.2 on MKLinux pre-DR3, DR3, LinuxPPC release 3, and now release 4 -- all on an 8500/120. No luck so far. It compiles fine per Paul's faq instructions (one warning cluster notwithstanding), but in the end all demos result in segmentation fault/core dump. I even went so far as to put together the rest of 1.2, just to see if the demo results were valid; everything glues together nicely (again following the invaluable online faq), and the Hello World v01 panel appears for about half a second -- before the inevitable core dump.
There is one warning that appears twice during blt make, involving the variable NBBY, defined by ~/tk8.0/unix/tkUnixPort.h:134 as "8," but "redefined" by /usr/include/sys/param.h:29 (per the include statement at ~/blt8.0-unoff/generic/bltGexec.c:21) as "CHAR_BIT." The first instance of this warning is reproduced below:
