libffi on hpux

Well, just a test to get ready for swarm-1.3,
I tried to install swarm-1.2 on hpux.
But from ./configure:

./configure --with-defaultdir=/usr/local --prefix=/s/Swarm/swarm-1.2 
...
checking directory of libffi.a... no
configure: error: Please use --with-ffidir to specify location of libffi 
library.
 
But when I looked at libffi, I see its not been ported to hpux!

Has anyone ported libffi to hpux?
If not, does that mean swarms > 1.0.5 can't be used under hpux?
Or is there another approach to swarm-1.2 under hpux?
