There is an abstract representation of the tree compiled by
protocol.el (of swarmdocs-1.3.tar.gz), but unfortunately not yet a
graphical one. The HTML output has a matrix of links, but it is
presented flat. (We considered showing some number of parents and
children for for each protocol, but that caused the size of the docs
to explode.)

It would be nice to have some kind of web browser smarts to
interactively browse protocol.el output (e.g. a Java applet or
XML support).

A relatively simple hack would be an Emacs browser that could operate
directly on the protocol.el data structures.
