configure and cygwin

when running configure on cygwin (nt).
 first it didn't run directly when
trying bash configure . it stop saying cannot run config.sub. 
i change
configure to  add bash config.sub pentium.
 it gives error than not able to
run ltcongif. 
any way to get around this error.
