I'm using the swarm RPM that Alex built from
ftp.santafe.edu/pub/swarm/redhat and I want to profile an application.
I've done this in the past, but apparently I can't remember it now.
In the application Makefile, I added
override CFlAGS += -pg
And when the application links, I see the -pg option appear in the
output.
When I run mousetrap, I get a new file gmon.out.
Then I try to access that with "gprof mousetrap" and look at the abuse I
get:
$ gprof mousetrap
gprof: mousetrap: not in a.out format
I have gcc-2.95.1.
