Folks,
New RPMs for Swarm 2.0.1 [release 3] available at:
ftp://ftp.santafe.edu/pub/swarm/redhat/RPMS/i386
New features:
- built against the special _patched_ version of gcc 2.95.1 which
fixes some bugs, and means that the linker warning messages folks
were getting when compiling apps will no longer appear (_Note_: that
users *can* continue to stay with the stock egcs/egcs-objc provides
by Red Hat 6.x¹).
**for Java users only**:
- for folks using swarm-kaffe, it now requires the new kaffe release
rpm (1.0.5) recently made available (please consult the README.i386
for the download location of the kaffe-1.0.5 rpm). This kaffe
release supports JDK 1.2 features directly.
Please consult the README.i386 for more installation details, before
commencing installation:

Alex
¹ Strictly speaking, if your Objective C application uses the
Objective C feature called `forwarding' directly (i.e. in the app)
you will need the latest gcc 2.95.1, but this this is likely to
affect less than 0.1% of users.
