Yep, the most time-consuming part is laying out all the tools (GNU,
TeX/SGML, etc.), and apps such that demos run and builds be done off
the CD-ROM. At the intervals of Swarm releases, there are typically
one or more packages that Swarm uses or depends-on that have new
versions and with these new versions are some layout changes or
compatibility issues with the previous Swarm CD-ROM packages. Since a
CD-ROM is big and read-only, that means problems found, say, when
testing the CD-ROM on different configurations of Windows 9x are multiplied
across the cost of a CD-ROM burn (20 minutes). The burning itself
once everything is staged perfectly is tolerable, since it requires no
actual attention. (It could become a problem if the volume of CD-ROM
purchases went up any more, but *right now* it isn't the main issue.)
