I'm re-sending this message, as it looks like the first one didn't go through.

... original message ...

Well, I'm glad SOMEONE brought it up!!

I'm Utahn by birth, and have skied most of my life at Beaver (45
minutes drive from Logan, all-day lift ticket for $25, complete ski
rental package for $12, private ski lessons $50 for two hours). I can
also highly recommend Powder Mountain in Ogden Canyon, bigger and
still unkown (hence uncrowded), or the "usual" places of Snowbird,
Alta, and Park City (pricey, crowded, but some of the best slopes in
the world).

I am also an avid cross-country skiier, and will be happy to take
people on some of the better mountain trails in Logan Canyon if time
allows. I know where the best place to spot elk and moose are, which
places can avoid snowmobiles, and which places would be best for
beginners or experinced skiiers. Equipment rentals in Logan will be
about $15/day for skis, boots, poles, etc.

Luckily, we now have snow on the ground, at least in the mountains.
It's been a dry, warm winter up to the last few weeks.
