It sounds like it is loading some other DLL and failing, but I don't
know what it would be. Maybe try Kaffe if that is feasible. Sorry,
no easy answers... All that can be done is to trace through (or back)
in GDB and see what bad thing happens. Emacs just refuses to kill
the shell buffer with c-x c-k?
