swarm and libffi problems [MacOSX]

Since there are some compatibility issues with avcall in MacOSX, I'm 
trying to build swarm with libffi, but the compilation also fails.  I 
remember that there was also a problem with avcall  in  LinuxPPC, and 
libffi was required to compile swarm on the ppc platform. Maybe somebody 
knows what is going on.
