linking tk

Hi,

I am trying to build the applications in the tutorial (swarm-hdf5
2.1.1-1.rh6 on Redhat 7.1,swarm) and I get the following:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -ltk8.0
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [bug] Error 1

I checked in the package manager, and I have the tk library (version
8.3.1-53) installed, so it looks like the linker can't find the tk
library. What should I do? (as you can surely notice, I am not a linux
expert).
