installing: stuck in tcl/tk |

Hello,
This is probably the most complicated install I've tried.
I am running the configure script for the latest snapshot of swarm to
install it on a Mac running Xfree86 and OroborosX with OS10.2. I have
tcl/tk8.4.0 installed. Unfortunately, the configure script only looks
for 8.3 and earlier. The 8.4 version has installed everything by
default in the /usr/local/ paths. in this install there does not
appear to be a tclsh link to the the tclsh8.4 executable.
Before mucking around with autoconf and/or manually changing the
configure file and/or setting up symbolic links to the right tcl files
(the configure script has a catch-all search for tclsh without version
number), I thought I'd see if this has been encountered before, if
there's a reason it doesn't look for 8.4, and if there are any tested
workarounds.
Any assistance much appreciated!
Cheers,
Morgan
