I'm game, what needs to be done?
As to your proposals:
I am only qualified to say that I can get both of them to run under
MacOS X without real issues, though I get this warning on running
SocialImpact:
(Tcl -eval:) bitmap "special" not defined
(processing "-bitmap" option)
invoked from within
".w12799656.w12805688.w12805800.w12816888.w12818008.w12822584 configure
-bitmap special -activeforeground red -foreground red"
while evaluating:
.w12799656.w12805688.w12805800.w12816888.w12818008.w12822584 configure
-bitmap special -activeforeground red -foreground red
and it seems to terminate early--though this may be either the way I
have it configured or simply the way the app is set up (I haven't
checked it that closely).
For Conway's Life I get the following:
(Tcl -eval:) bitmap "special" not defined
(processing "-bitmap" option)
invoked from within
".w12401416.w12411880.w12411976.w12421496.w12422616.w12426664 configure
-bitmap special -activeforeground red -foreground red"
while evaluating:
.w12401416.w12411880.w12411976.w12421496.w12422616.w12426664 configure
-bitmap special -activeforeground red -foreground red
Other than that it runs without issue.
These warnings should either be explained (maybe it is something on my
end?) or fixed before inclusion: I was writing a tech document recently
on using Equation Service (LaTeX) with Apple's Keynote and threw in an
offhand comment about dismissing a slightly obscure warning message in
one of the installers. Later I was thanked for putting in that comment
because it was confusing and worrying some people--if you include these
apps, then we need to make sure that people either aren't seeing this
error or know that it isn't a problem.
Sincerely,
David
