The 1.4.7 refers to the version of the hdf5 add-on package for R
(http://cran.r-project.org/ -> Package Sources -> hdf5).

The latest release of HDF5 is 1.4.5post2 as you mentioned. That's what
I have in my machine (for the record, I got some errors in the test
phase of the installation which I'm still investigating).
