Well, swarmapps-2.1.1 is still 2.1.1.  

What you are saying is that we need to update the .tar.gz snapshots of
the apps to be something like 2.2-2003-XX-YY-pretest (because Swarm
2.2 hasn't officially been released yet), which is fine, but we need
somebody to create the tar.gz files from CVS and put them up in the
Savannah download area.  i.e. it would be great to have somebody to
maintain the actual packages.  

We might also consider putting all the new packages (.tar.gz snaps for
Swarm and apps) up at Savannah (as you are doing for MacOS X) and
deprecate the use of ftp.swarm.org, except for archival purposes
(which would keep Brent at SFI happy! ;))
