[Swarm-Support] Mac OS X Tiger advice

Hi Bill (assumably),

What is the general advice on installing on Tiger, is it safe to use 
your binaries, and is apples new gcc 4.0 the advised compiler? I haven't 
looked to see if the Darwin build has changed much or no longer needs 
(or needs more) any of the components, I'm hoping you have had a look 
already and have answers.
