If the text or HDF5 output of graphs is adequate, then to get the 
restart capability, you might look at one of these packages:

Support for x86_64 is almost non-existent, and Linux 2.6 support is 
poor, but this is in some sense the cleanest solution for not losing 
work should a computer need to go down..
