        The newest version of javaswarm.dll (that one external to 
Swarm-2.2-java.zip, downloaded separately from 
http://www.santafe.edu/~mgd/javaswarm.dll) produces the same error 
also with 1.4.2, pressing the Save key.

        So in my opinion the problem comes from that version of javaswarm.dll.
