What should LD_LIBRARY_PATH be loading from emacs? My emacs installation (21.4a) doesn't have a lib directory (just one called libexec, which contains a single directory emacs/21.4/sparc-sun-solaris2.8 with some executables in, none of which are libtool).
In this case, Emacs isn't loading shared libraries itself, it is just running that `findImp' program in a subshell, iterating over all of the types & methods in Swarm.
