It will if you run with SELinux active and "setsebool allow_execstack=0".Similarly, on Windows XP configured with DEP active for all programs, Swarm apps will crash with segfaults. This can be avoid by changing the setting at Control Panel/System/Performance/Advanced/Data Execution Prevention so as only enforce it for *system* programs.
