Greg Madey and Michael North report that it is OK with them and the
North American Association of Computational Social and Organization
Science people to have SwarmFest partially overlap with the NAACSOS meeting.
Current plans for NAACSOS are for them to have tutorials/classes on 21
June (Weds), and conference on 22-23 June, possibly extending into the
24th.
Hence, I am proposing this SwarmFest schedule for us to discuss & refine.
22 June (Thursday): Arrival, evening registration and social (possibly
sharing the event with the NAACSOS folks, depending on their plans).
23 June (Friday): Joint sessions with NAACSOS. Keynote and featured
speakers in the morning. The afternoon sessions would be the contributed
papers most likely to be of interest to both groups. If there are not
enough papers of interest to both conferences we could separate for the
last part of the day. SwarmFest banquet in the evening.
24 June (Saturday): SwarmFest contributed paper sessions.
25 June (Sunday) morning: SDG board meeting; Swarm class (if anyone
wants to teach one).
When we get some concurrence on this, I will work up a call for papers.
I assume we will have a poster session again (an innovation that started
at ND?).
Greg graciously offered to provide a conference web site, by updating
the one from last time. He also said their conference center
automatically takes care of registration for us (yay!).
