Agreed. That should probably be changed.

Today's snapshot supports the following:
import SWF
swf = SWF.load("movie.swf")
for tag in swf.tags:
if tag.isImage():
img = tag.image
img = img.convert("RGB")
img.save_ppm("test.ppm")
