[Swftools-common] Can't extract symbol from the SWF's library using its linkage ID

Hello!
I've faced the problem with extracting movieclip symbol from the SWF file's library by its linkage (using swfextract, swftools ver. 0.8.1).
There was the suggestion on the mail list http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/swftools-common/2006-06/msg00011.html (swfextract -n <<LINKAGE_NAME>> file.swf -o movieclip.swf). But actually it works only for the instanciated movie clips placed on the timeline and does not work for the clips which exist only in the library (and does not placed on stage).
So I'm wondering if it's a bug or currently it works as designed and there is no way to extract symbols from the SWF's library by its linkage names.
Regards,
Igor
