Weird.
What's the output of
ls -l /usr/lib/gcc-lib/
and
./config.guess
?
Also, try running configure like this:
./configure --host=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
.
(substitute the "x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" by whatever is output by the "ls"
command above)
