[Synaptic-devel] synaptic sources and ubuntu

I looked at the synaptic home page at http://www.nongnu.org/synaptic/
and saw that the last version should be 0.62, but then the download
page at http://mirrors.aixtools.net/sv/synaptic/ only has 0.57.2.
Ubuntu has a version 0.63.

What is the best way to obtain the latest stable version of synaptic?


also I note that other distros than ubuntu (debian) has only 0.57.2 -
including fedora and mandriva.
