Problems and Challenges Facing Lean – Six Sigma Organizations, What to Look for to Ensure Success with Your Process Improvements Efforts

Many organizations are today facing very difficult decisions regarding when to jump into the fray and take the Lean – Six Sigma plunge. Once the journey has begun, they begin to realize that this is not a “one tank trip” but a long voyage towards their continual improvement missions and goals.

Not everything goes as planned, all of the time. There are occasional obstacles to overcome and problems to be addressed.

Most organizations can minimize these disruptions with the proper amount of up front planning, following the plan, do check act cycle. Tried and true planning tools such as FMEA can assist with the transition from traditional problem solving and improvement efforts towards the new world of focused Team based continual improvement targets.

This discussion will focus on real life examples of the types of difficulties that can arise and how to address them when they do.
