Following a discussion with David yesterday,
I finally think that an abstract tree class
for manipulating tree-like structures is JAUA
(just another useless abstraction).
Indeed, except a generalized subtree routine,
I do not really see much further use of such a structure.
We should try to keep things as simple as possible and
not create compilated imbrications when not necessary.
If we would really need such a thing later,
then we may always create it later without much work.
Also, I remind that tree and ttree will become
one and the same class. Maybe, we should create
a compilation option such that the usual tree class
carries the extra "path ip" field and that we do not
need two separate classes at all.
