Hi Joris,
since we are at porting : the texmacs home page http://www.texmacs.org/
says
TeXmacs currently runs on PC's and PPC's under Gnu/linux (a
200MHz processor and >32Mb of memory are recommended) and on sun
computers.
This statement seems overly modest to me. For instance, TeXmacs
compiles for GNU/Linux on all 11 architectures which are currently
supported by Debian (i386, ia64, alpha, powerpc, m68k, hppa,
mips, mipsel, sparc, arm, s390). Though I have only for part of
them tested myself, or received reports from users, that it
actually runs on these architectures.
