[Tiger-devel] Question about msgids

Hello all,

I was wondering if there was specific meaning behind the msgids that are
passed to the message function?

A quick search through my tree shows that following number of each
instance:

     28 ALERT
     10 CONFIG
      7 ERROR
     90 FAIL
     33 INFO
    186 WARN

When is it approprite to use ALERT vs FAIL?  or ERROR vs CONFIG? etc? 
Or is this something that could be made more consistant?
